I was born in Novosibirsk, Siberia. When I was about 5, I saw Rockwell Kent's illustrations for "Moby Dick" and haven't stopped drawing since. I wrote and illustrated my first children's book by the time I was 15, and it was published shortly thereafter.
In the past couple of years I feel I've realized my own unique vocabulary of imagery, as well as favorite techniques. I'm pleased to be able to share this stuff and hope it will be enjoyed.
